GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY
Reporting to the Site Manager of Lodge Services the Lodge Attendant is responsible for carrying out a variety of guest related, dietary, housekeeping and laundry tasks in the Cancer Patient Lodges. These responsibilities promote both safety and comfort to the guests.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Grade 12
Experience:
- One (1) year experience in a related human service function.
- Experience in a medical or health care setting is an asset.
Skills:
- Ability to effectively communicate factual information both orally and in writing.
- Ability to work independently.
- Human relations skills required to empathize with complaints and/or concerns and establish rapport with patients, the public and other staff.
- Some Judgment and problem solving skills are required to select the most appropriate action from a limited number of alternatives.
- Ability to perform moderate physical tasks.
- Knowledge of culturally responsive care for First Nations and Mtis people.
