Description

A2SKI is seeking a skilled Carpenter for full-time term positions located in Northern Saskatchewan. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of carpentry in construction The work schedule for the positions runs 14 days on, 14 days off rotation, with meals and lodging provided during work shifts.

Main Responsibilities:
Carry out basic construction, maintenance, or labor-related tasks.
Understand and follow technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine layout and materials required.
Safely operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, saws, drills, levels, and other carpentry-related equipment.
Construct and install foundations, walls, floors, ceilings, and roofs.
Erecting, leveling, and installing building framework with the aid of rigging hardware and cranes.
Inspecting and replacing damaged framework or other structures and fixtures.
Instructing and directing labourers and other construction trade helpers.
Operating a forklift and other equipment.
Assist with general site preparation and cleanup
Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.
Work closely with construction professionals and other workers to ensure project deadlines and goals are met.
Assist with general site preparation and cleanup.

Qualifications:
Certified Journeyperson Carpenter is required.
Valid Drivers Licence
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks which may include lifting, bending and standing for extended periods
2-3 years of construction carpentry experience is preferred
Certification and 2-3 years' experience operating a forklift and loader is preferred
Ability to work in various weather conditions and challenging environments
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in a construction/warehouse setting is an asset
Drug and Alcohol Testing
