Description

The Saskatchewan Food Industry Development Centre (Food Centre) is an industry leader in contract research, manufacturing and incubation to help companies bring food, beverage and ingredient innovations to market.  We are an innovative and team-oriented organization with a collaborative approach to each project.  
We have an immediate opening for a Production Supervisor to work in a multi-faceted food production facility. Your primary job will be to supervise production start up and manufacturing of multiple products. You will be required to supervise employees to ensure security, safety, food specs, quality assurance of products, sanitation, HACCP and CFIA regulations are followed. This is a full-time job with opportunities for advancement and diverse operations in processing of new food products.
Requirements:
Previous manufacturing experience in a food manufacturing company is required
Previous supervisory experience required
Knowledge of Food safety, HACCP, OH&S and CFIA regulations.
Passionate about maintaining Food Safety and Health & Safety of employees
Ability to improve productivity by being proactive and taking initiative
Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills
A high sense of integrity and the ability to act with urgency in a fast-paced environment
A willingness to adapt to changing processes
Mechanical aptitude will be considered an asset
Job Responsibilities:
Supervise production staff/processes for external clients and Internal initiatives to ensure food specs and safety regulations are followed and quality assurance is maintained
Manage daily/weekly manpower planning including assignment of responsibilities and duties
Accurately record data required for regulatory and client reporting and prepare management reports as required
Support cross functional teams in research and production processes
