Description

Brandt is currently seeking a Truck & Transport Technician for our Estevan Peterbilt location. This position is responsible for the diagnostics, repair and maintenance of trucks, trailers, coaches, and buses in a shop environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:
-Evaluate the working condition of, diagnose, assemble/disassemble and repair the on road equipment efficiently and effectively
-Use secondary materials and equipment safely
-Use related instruments, hand/power tools, secondary equipment, and computer systems
-Accurately document on work orders all unit information, actions taken, and time spent
-Continually assess service task hazards and ensure work is performed safely, and to accepted standards          
-Use computer applications and information systems to document maintenance, inspection, and diagnosis

Required Skills:
-Must have the ability to communicate and work effectively with equipment engineers, the service team, and branch personnel.
-Outstanding knowledge of mechanical & electrical systems
-Proven computer/ technical aptitude and knowledge for diagnostics and calibration work
-Demonstrated diagnostic skills to understand mechanical and technical equipment repair needs
-Strong time-management skills to perform effectively under pressure

Required Experience:
-Previous mechanical experience in a truck and coach environment is required
-Certified Journeyperson in the Truck and Transport technician trade or equivalent designated trade preferred
-Experience with electrical diagnosis/troubleshooting and aftertreatment systems is considered an asset
