Reporting to the WTP Superintendent, the Filtration Plant Operator Level II is responsible for the day to day operation and control of the Citys water treatment facility. Key accountabilities are to perform work functions that ensure compliance with established policies and procedures, OH&S and government regulations. The Filtration Plant Operator Level II is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of plant equipment and treatment processes, and for the safe, reliable production and supply of high quality drinking water for all residential, commercial and industrial customers.
EDUCATION
Grade 12 or equivalent.
Two year technical program/diploma related to Water Treatment/Environmental Science. An equivalent combination of related formal education and experience in a water treatment environment may be considered as an asset
Must satisfy, possess and maintain a valid Class II Water Treatment Operator Certification from the Saskatchewan Water &Wastewater Certification Board .
Possess and maintain a valid Class 5 Saskatchewan drivers license.
Moderate command of Microsoft EXCEL and WORD
Knowledge of SCADA system preferred.
Certification in confined space and fall protection required, SCBA and SCOT training preferred. First Aid training considered an asset.
