Description

The role of Manager, Grants and Special Projects is to guide and lead exceptional faculty and staff in their commitment to our students and shared strategic priorities. The Manager, Grants and Special Projects is part of the Centre for Continuing Education. The Centre for Continuing Education provides flexible learning opportunities in a wide variety of program areas. The Centre also offers customizable general, introductory and specialized courses in a variety of disciplines through varied delivery methods.
The Manager has several direct reports located across the various Saskatchewan Polytechnic locations. The Manager will be responsible for all elements of the employee life cycle for faculty and staff in their program areas (staffing, recruitment, selection, orientation, training, and development). The Manager is responsible for monitoring the fiscal resources and recommending efficiencies within the assigned programs.

Based at any campus, the Manager, Grants and Special Projects is accountable to the Director, Training Solutions. The Manager is responsible for the leadership, planning, and management of proposal writing and grant development as well as the implementation and integration of special projects for the Centre for Continuing Education. This will be achieved through maintaining effective links between the AVPs, Deans, Associate Deans and Directors. The Manager will oversee the implementation and coordination of broad-scale special projects programming for the Centre. The Manager will also be responsible for maintaining effective links with business sectors, industry, government, accrediting agencies, and other educational institutions. The Manager will be responsible for scoping and implementing special projects that complement and build on each other towards achieving one or more long-term business goals of the Centre.
