Description

The Ministry of Educations Student and Educator Services Unit, Information Management and Support Branch, has an exciting opportunity for a Configuration Analyst committed to client service and continuous improvement. This fast-paced, high-volume unit administers policies related to credit requirements for secondary completion, maintains a central registry of student and educator information, and produces transcripts. The Ministry is advancing reconciliation with early years, Prekindergarten to Grade 12, library, and First Nations, Metis and Inuit partners by acknowledging our shared history to build a brighter future together.

As a Configuration Analyst, you will manage the PreK-12 student and teacher database and related business processes. Duties include diagnosing and resolving technical issues, preparing and executing test plans, advising on changes or enhancements, designing reports and processing XML data files, and providing tier 2 help desk support for database operations and system requirements. You will manage efficiency automations, create and maintain SharePoint sites and access, develop and deliver application training, and produce resources such as documentation and training videos.

Our ideal candidate is innovative, with strong problem-solving and analytical skills, and excellent communication to explain technical concepts to non-technical users. You can work independently and collaboratively on diverse teams. Knowledge is typically gained through a computer science degree or equivalent education and experience. Familiarity with Saskatchewans PreK-12 education system is required. French/English bilingualism is an asset.
