This leadership role provides strategic direction in land asset management, multi-year planning, and program delivery.
The ideal candidate has a strong record of success, exceptional leadership skills, and deep knowledge of land management trends, risk management, and process improvement. You will have experience developing standards, guiding teams, and driving effective program planning and implementation. Superior verbal and written communication skills are essential to lead collaboratively and engage ministry staff, stakeholders, consultants, and the public.
As Programs Manager, you will lead a team of experts responsible for multi-year program development and implementation for provincial land management, acquisitions, and dispositions. Duties include managing land assets, collaborating with other ministry areas and external agencies, and reviewing policies to ensure fair treatment of landowners and efficient use of resources.
The successful candidate will reflect the Ministrys core values of Respect and Integrity, One Team, Serving Citizens, and Excellence and Innovation. Typically, knowledge and skills are obtained through a Bachelors Degree in a related field and several years of experience in property appraisal, valuation, and negotiation. Professional designations with the International Right of Way Association and/or the Appraisal Institute of Canada are assets. Comparable qualifications and experience may be considered.
