The Ministry of Corrections, Policing and Public Safety has a two-year term nursing opportunity for a Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) to work at Saskatchewan Hospital North Battleford with female offenders. We are seeking a self-confident, positive role model committed to quality care and teamwork.
As part of our team, you will respond to medical and psychiatric emergencies with appropriate interventions, assess medical and mental conditions, promote preventative health measures, maintain accurate patient records, and make referrals as required. This role offers flexibility, as part-time hours are based on your availability and center needsan excellent way to maintain work-life balance.
To succeed, you must be actively registered or eligible for registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS) or the Registered Psychiatric Nurses Association of Saskatchewan (RPNAS). You will bring knowledge and experience in medical and psychiatric theories and intervention strategies, drug and alcohol withdrawal indicators, communicable diseases, public health issues, and multicultural beliefs and perspectives. A valid Basic Life Support (BLS) with Health Care Provider Certification is required. French/English bilingualism is considered an asset.
