Doepker Industries is a leading Canadian manufacturer of highway semi-trailers. We are continually developing new and innovative designs for our customers across Canada and have won awards and been recognized for business excellence and innovation since 1948.

We are currently looking for a permanent, full-time Supply Chain Coordinator to join our team at our Saskatoon location.

WHAT YOULL DO
Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the Supply Chain Coordinator sources new products, maintains and expands vendor relationships, negotiates contracts, and ensures competitive pricing and reliable supply.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
    Analyze and evaluate supplier proposals, taking into consideration price, quality, delivery times, and other relevant factors.
    Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers, products, and services that align with Doepkers needs.
    Develop and maintain processes needed to tender materials.
    Negotiate material pricing and explore alternate sources for materials and components.
    Understand capabilities of both existing vendors and prospective vendors.
    Attend meetings, trade shows, conferences, conventions and seminars to network with other supply chain management professionals.
    Identify and solve supply chain problems.
    Understand the needs of Doepker production, Doepker standards/quality and Doepker Customers.
    Perform vendor evaluations and develop necessary KPIs, driving continuous improvement in supplier relationships and performance.
    Negotiate new contracts and renew long-term contracts.
    Manage and stay current with vendor lead times and order policies.
WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR
    Superior negotiation skills accompanied by a professional, positive and consistent approach to all internal and external relationships.
    Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet timelines and manage problems.
    Bachelors degree in business or commerce or equivalent combination of education and experience.
