The Cosmopolitan Learning Centre is seeking a Permanent Full Time Direct Support Worker. We seek a highly motivated, dynamic individual who has experience in supporting people experiencing disabilities. A Direct Support Worker is responsible to provide community inclusive supports through employment support and volunteer opportunities, life skills/social skills building, recreational activities, and personal care needs through a person-centred approach. The successful candidate will be responsible to transport individuals in their community,and involves working with individuals independently, in teams, and in a variety of support areas within the Organisation.

Qualifications
1. Preference will be given to those individuals that have post-secondary education in a related field, and/or related experience
2. Previous experience in supporting people experiencing disability
3. Ability to establish and maintain effective and positive relationships with people.
4. Excellent public relations skills.
5. Is enthusiastic, takes initiative and is self-motivated.
6. Excellent organisation, communication and follow up skills.
7. Is able to work independently and/or in a team environment, multi task and meet deadlines.
8. Excellent ability to problem solve and make sound decisions in challenging situations.
9. Knowledge and experience in delivering support services to Individuals experiencing disabilities.
10. Possess a valid class 5 Saskatchewan driver's license and a reliable vehicle for transporting individuals.
11. Ability to go in swimming pools/and hot tubs
15. Clear Criminal Record(must include vulnerable sector search)
