Job Summary:
We are seeking skilled Powerline Technicians. The Powerline Technician will be responsible for constructing, maintaining and repairing electrical power systems, working with power tools, and operating specialized equipment.
Duties:
Operate bucket trucks for elevated work on power lines
Ability to climb poles, work at heights and work in extreme weather conditions for extended periods of time
Perform rigging operations to move heavy equipment safely
Utilize power tools to maintain and repair electrical systems
Demonstrate mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues
Work with high voltage systems including hot live line work.
Operate backhoes, diggers, skid steers and other equipment
Provincial Travel Required - Accommodation/LOA provided
Qualifications:
Journeyman Powerline Technician Certificate and Interprovincial Red Seal Certificate
Apprentice Powerline Technician - Must have a valid Apprentice Power Line Technician Trade card from the Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission.
Strong knowledge of the Provincial Electrical Utilities Regulations and the Provincial Occupation Health & Safety Act, Regulations and Codes
Valid Class 1A Drivers License preferred
Demonstrated ability to lead and effectively work on teams and mentor apprentices
Strong communication, leadership, teamwork and customer service skills
Ability to interpret drawings, develop/ interpret work, and plan projects for self and others

Pay: From $55.35 per hour, $ 70.04 total package
Expected hours: 40 70 per week
