The Childcare Provider will ensure that a secure and compassionate environment for children who are part of the Muskowekwan Family Healing & Wellness Centre programming. The Childcare Provider will facilitate children programming with a well-rounded support system or program that stimulates their intellectual, physical, and emotional growth. They plan and implement activities and lesson plans that are age-appropriate, with the childs well-being in mind.
Responsibilities & Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Supervising and monitoring the safety of children.
Helping with preparation and organizing mealtimes and snacks for children.
Helping children keep good hygiene and changing the diapers of infants and toddlers.
Organizing activities or implementing a curriculum that allows children to learn and explore.
Developing schedules and routines to ensure that children have enough physical activity, rest, and playtime.
Positive, caring and compassionate attitude and ability to help others.
Safety conscious with a keen sense of observational skills
Excellent verbal communication skills.
Ability to motivate others to be proactive and able to organize and plan.
Conditions of Employment
Ability to work flexible hours and work at all services sites as determined and scheduled by the Executive Director;
Must possess a Class 5 Drivers License and a personal, reliable vehicle;
Must hold a valid Standard First Aid/CPR Certificate;
Must complete a criminal records check; including a Vulnerable Sector Search;
Must lead a clean & sober lifestyle;
ECE Training & Diploma is an asset.
