Several United Churches in Saskatoon and the surrounding area are collaborating to hire a Saskatoon and Area Youth Minister to animate & support youth ministry programming throughout the city & area, building on and benefiting all United Churches as they seek to support young people in their journeys of faith towards deep spirituality, bold discipleship, and daring justice.

They will be a person of deep faith, passionate about young people, able to grow a youth ministry, and deeply commitment to inclusion of all youth, including youth who are Two Spirit, queer, trans, or non-binary.
The main duties of the Youth Minister include: Delivering a shared and collaborative youth ministry program serving United Church communities of faith within Saskatoon and surrounding areas Supporting the growth of the program to achieve sustainability Supporting the administration of the program
The Youth Minister will report to a youth ministry steering committee established by the collaborating United Churches, with day to day supervision and coaching provided by an oversight minister. The Youth Minister will need to have police and vulnerable sector records checks upon hiring, and will be expected to take the United Church'ss boundaries and racial justice training.
This position is for 10 hours per week. The proposed hiring range is $23-$27 depending on the candidate'ss skills, education, and experience. The candidate will be entitled to 4 weeks of vacation and 1 week of study leave, $250 in continuing education allowance, and $125 in wellness allowance.
