The Ministry is seeking an energetic, highly motivated, organized self-starter with exceptional communication, leadership, and management skills to join the Deputy Ministers Office as Executive Advisor. This role requires reviewing sensitive documents, managing projects, and ensuring confidentiality while working closely with senior leaders and acting as a key liaison with the Ministers Office.
The ideal candidate is an experienced professional with an influential, collaborative communication style, sound judgment, strong issues management, and superior written and verbal skills. You can anticipate and respond to dynamic situations, think innovatively, and add value proactively. Leadership qualities to coach and motivate others, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail are essential.
Knowledge and skills are typically gained through a degree in business, public policy, public administration, or a related discipline, along with experience in policy analysis. Knowledge of government decision-making processes is an asset.
Responsibilities include managing policy issues, coordinating briefing materials, providing advice to the Deputy Minister, fostering collegial relationships, and ensuring timely issue resolution and risk management.
