The Marketing and Communications Specialist supports marketing and communications across digital, traditional, paid, owned, and earned channels. Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications, this in-office role brings strategy into action through campaign coordination, content development, and on-brand creative production. The role supports digital marketing activities, website updates, design needs, event materials, and consistent messaging across channels.
The ideal candidate brings a customer centred approach, strong collaboration skills, integrity, adaptability, and a drive for continuous improvement. The role supports trusted relationships with partners and cross-team storytelling that aligns with organizational goals.
Key skills include coordinating integrated campaigns, maintaining marketing calendars and assets, supporting digital tracking, producing branded visuals, writing clear content, and supporting timely stakeholder communication. The Specialist helps monitor website accuracy, contributes to analytics and reporting, and assists with presentations and engagement activities.
The ideal candidate is proficient with Canva or Adobe Creative Suite, familiar with digital marketing and analytics tools, experienced with CMS platforms, and comfortable managing timelines in project management systems. Three to five years of related experience and strong writing skills are preferred. Knowledge of Saskatoons tourism and business landscape is an asset.
