Description

The City of Swift Current is accepting applications for a permanent, full-time Cashier/Clerk II position in the Aquatics department. Under the supervision of the Manager of Aquatics, this role involves processing routine cash transactions, registering program participants, and collecting rental fees and customer billings. The position also includes reception and clerical duties performed according to established procedures. This position is regularly involved with the public, which requires a high level of tact and courtesy.  

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Proficient in business English and terminology relevant to aquatic programming.
- Familiarity with swimming pool operations, including applicable rules, regulations, and procedures.
- Knowledge and understanding of aquatic programs such as Lifesaving Society, SPRA Fitness, and Aquatic Emergency Procedures.
- General knowledge of amenities offered by Community Services.
- Demonstrated leadership and strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Skilled in operating standard office equipment and Windows-based computer applications.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to interact tactfully and courteously with the public in person and by phone.
- Sound judgment and decision-making skills within established guidelines.
- Ability to perform routine financial tasks, including balancing cash and receipts.
- Competence in maintaining accurate facility records and documentation.
- Ability to follow and interpret oral and written instructions.
- Capable of working independently and managing multiple tasks.
- Accurate and efficient typing skills for business correspondence and technical reports.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse individuals and groups.
