Brandt Industries is seeking a Traffic Team Lead for our Regina, SK, Location. Reporting to the Director of Traffic, the Team Lead will supervise, direct and support current and new members of the Traffic Department while working with the various Brandt Divisions to ensure quality service is provided while putting an emphasis on efficiencies and cost controls.
Duties and Responsibilities:
-Guiding the team in the daily efforts of ensuring the timely cost-effective movement of raw materials/equipment inbound and finished goods outbound
-Communicating and working with the various Brandt Divisions to ensure clear information and understanding of all traffic requirements are exchanged internally and with our Vendors and Carrier partners
-Work closely with various carrier partners to ensure Brandts standard of service is maintained
-Reviewing and assisting negotiating rates to optimize cost per mile
-Expediting shipments
-Monitor carrier performance
-Account reconciliations, developing special reports
-Perform invoice auditing as required
-Other purchasing duties as assigned
Required Skills:
-Excellent verbal and written communication skils
-Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
-Ability to work with minimum supervision
Required Experience:
-Minimum 3 years experience in a related transportation/logistics position
-Management experience a plus
-Proficient in Microsoft Office
-Must be a team player
