Description

Full-Time Position: Employment Specialist  
Neil Squire Society,  Regina, SK
  
Duties and Responsibilities:
    Deliver in person and virtual group and individual employment services and skills training with youth participants.
    Prepare participants for employment marketing and provide job search assistance and marketing support.
    Develop opportunities for participants to meet employers in the manufacturing sector to enhance knowledge and inform career decision making.
    Liaise with subcontractors and employers to identify and place participants in work experience placements.
    Negotiate and prepare wage subsidy agreements, employer documents and other required documents as needed.
    Assist with wage subsidy balance maintenance and updating the projection tracker.
    Network and maintain relationships with various service providers and employers to promote the program, increase recruitment, and develop a network of resources for supported referrals.
    Identify appropriate job leads and assist clients in accessing the hidden job market; support the transition into employment; liaise with employers to generate employment leads.
    Market wage subsidy and non-wage subsidy employer services.
    Provide ongoing follow-up support to clients and employers, as needed.
        Maintain client files by collecting required documents and assignments from clients and wage subsidy employers
    Attend regular team meetings to discuss curriculum and resource content, program delivery and client progress.
    Ensure all reporting is completed on time and maintained in adherence to policies and procedures, including preparing detailed reporting for submission to funders.
    Other additional duties will be assigned as needed

    Relevant Bachelors Degree, Diploma in Social Sciences or a related field OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience is an asset.
    Previous experience working in employment programs and/or working with people with disabilities
