The Canadian Mental Health Association, SK Division operates the Gambling Awareness Program (GAP). GAP provides the public education and community development components of the provinces Problem Gambling Program.  The incumbent will demonstrate a solid understanding of gambling, video gaming, social media, their interconnectedness and its potential impact on mental health or how it can develop into an addiction.  
Using a harm reduction approach, they will provide prevention education within the designated service area. Keeping abreast of current research to help develop program components is an important part of the role.  
  
The position requires a strong background in public education and community development, with specific knowledge of gambling and problem gambling preferred, and the ability to develop presentation modules. A University degree in the social sciences, social work, certificate in the addictions field or mental health field, and/or relatable experience is required.  The incumbent must be able to work flexible hours with a minimum of supervision and enjoy travelling Saskatchewan highways. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, and will need to demonstrate superlative organizational and time management skills, and thrive in a small office environment. This is a permanent position, typically working Monday - Thursday, based out of satellite office located in Saskatoon, with responsibilities in the central part of the province.  Significant travel is involved, with some travel outside the service area to attend meetings or province-wide initiatives. A valid drivers license and clean criminal record check is required
