The Bookkeeper is a mid-level position designed for individuals who are building their expertise in bookkeeping while taking on more client interaction, problem-solving responsibilities, and building autonomy.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform full-cycle bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries with increased independence.
Manage month-end closing processes, collaborating with Senior Bookkeepers as needed for complex reconciliations and adjustments.
Act as a point of contact for designated clients, providing clear communication and updates on bookkeeping tasks.
Identify discrepancies or issues in client records, researching solutions and working with Senior Bookkeepers to implement corrective actions.
Proactively address common bookkeeping challenges, suggesting process improvements where applicable.
Assist in preparing financial reports for clients, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
Support Senior Bookkeepers in assembling data for year-end reports and other periodic financial reviews.
Implement basic process improvements in coordination with the team, enhancing accuracy and efficiency.
Continue to build technical skills through training sessions and by collaborating with Senior Bookkeepers.
Engage in ongoing learning to develop advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, and other relevant software.
