Job Description: In an environment that supports continuous quality improvement and under the supervision of the Communicable Diseases/Sexual Health/Street Program Supervisor, this employee provides Public Health STD Clinic services to the community. The employee is expected to make decisions made on sound assessments, according to accepted policies and standards of the Communicable Disease/Sexual Health Program.

Education
Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing with course credits in Public Health Nursing. Possession of and ability to maintain a registration with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses' Association. Possession of current certification in cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and ability to provide first aid in emergency situations. Will be required to successfully complete certification in sexually transmitted diseases. Will be required to successfully complete certification in Transportation of Dangerous Goods.
Experience
Minimum of one year related experience in sexually transmitted diseases, obtained in a clinical setting or through contact tracing. Relevant work experience in an infectious disease clinic, or harm reduction program working with high risk behaviors clients for a minimum of one year would be acceptable. Strong knowledge of prevention, transmission and treatment of communicable diseases, particularly of sexually transmitted and blood borne diseases is required.
