Description

The City of Weyburn is hiring Day Camp Program Facilitators who may be assigned to either the Spark Summer Camp or the Summer Funzone Day Camp. These roles are essential to the delivery of the Citys summer day camps and provide an excellent opportunity to gain leadership and programming experience.

Responsibilities:
    Collaborate with other Program Facilitators to plan, coordinate, and deliver quality sport, culture, and recreational activities for children aged 6  12.
    Apply the HIGH FIVE principles of healthy child development in all programming.
    Design and facilitate inclusive, engaging, and creative activities tailored to the focus of each day camp and participant.
    Follow and enforce the policies, practices, and procedures of each camp.
    Manage the safety, well-being, and confidentiality of participants at all times.
    Maintain accurate documentation, records, and reports as required.
    Submit weekly reports, attend team meetings, and participate in planned events during the workday.
    Supervise and create opportunities for both planned and spontaneous play.
    Act as a positive role model at all times.
    Ensure that all activities are designed and facilitated to meet the needs and abilities of participants.
    Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
    Students hired must be at least 15 years of age or older, enrolled as a student at a secondary or post-secondary school or institution.
    Standard First Aid/CPR-C/AED certification.
    A background/experience in recreation and/or facilitating childrens programs is considered an asset.
