Mihkoskiwakak Nehiyawak Education Authority - Mamawe Awasis Elementary School is seeking a passionate and skilled Literacy Teacher to lead and support literacy instruction across grades 16. The successful candidate will implement evidence-based programs such as UFLI Foundations, Daily Five, and Engage Literacy, and Fountas & Pinnell Benchmark Assessment System (BAS) to support and strengthen reading and writing skills in MNEA Students.

Key Responsibilities:
*Have UFLI code knowledge reading program.
*Model literacy lessons in classrooms to demonstrate best practices.
*Conduct placement testing for all students to determine code knowledge levels and create progress-monitoring spreadsheets for teachers.
*Assist teachers with reading level assessments and provide refreshers as needed.
*Be familiar with running records for teachers unfamiliar with assessment practices.
*Collaborate with the Resource Room teacher regarding referrals for students requiring additional literacy support.
*Conduct daily pull-out sessions for Grades 14 and twice-weekly sessions for Grades 56.
*Plan and prepare Literacy Night activities and stations for family engagement.
