Description

THE ROLE
If you are passionate about all aspects of health, and want to make a difference in people's lives, a career as a Mental Performance Manager supporting the members of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) might just be for you!
As the Mental Performance Manager, you will manage and deliver the mental performance (resiliency) program for members of the CAF, including but not limited to student pilots, instructor pilots and traffic control trainees. You will provide individual and group performance coaching to enhance and/or sustain their high levels of
performance, to help them perform consistently and under considerable stress and adversity. In addition, you will manage other targeted strategies for optimizing mental performance, including the development of online learning, social media and website content and memory aides. You will also provide direction to Mental Performance Specialists based in Cornwall, Ontario and Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan.
The Mental Performance Manager plays an integral role in making the healthy choice the easy choice for CAF members. In doing so, you will help to ensure that they are mentally and physically ready to sustain the rigours of operations, and live healthy balanced lives.
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED
Education, Certifications and Licenses
Masters degree in Sports Psychology, or a related field
Current Canadian Sports Psychology Association (CSPA) Professional Member
Experience
In managing projects
In planning, organizing, researching, creating and developing training programs
In delivering and validating training programs
In planning and conducting training courses, workshops, presentations and specialized clinics
In determining the effectiveness and efficiency of delivered training
In facilitating working groups
In presenting reports and findings
In communication and marketing
In budget administration
In applying policies, procedures, and regulations
