Reporting to the Maintenance Manager at the Saskatoon Mill, the Maintenance Journeyman Millwright is responsible for ensuring optimum asset health by maintaining, repairing, inspecting, and modifying equipment in a safe and cost-effective manner.

Principal Accountabilities:

Perform scheduled and reactive corrective maintenance on facility assets

Perform scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance

Participate in meetings and training activities

Participate in the plant safety program

Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned including minor mechanical repairs

Qualifications:

Required:

Possession of Millwright Journeyman ticket

Minimum 2 years experience as a Millwright Journeyman performing PMs and equipment repairs

Welding and fabrication abilities

Working knowledge of power transmission and precision maintenance methods

Basic knowledge of all industry safety, food safety, and environmental regulations and requirements

Knowledge of the Maintenance Reliability process and Predictive Technologies

Strong problem solving/trouble shooting skills

Good written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work various shifts and take call backs on off shifts

Must be willing to obtain a Firemans certification for low pressure boiler operation

Must be physically capable of wearing a respirator or dust mask when required and adhere to the Ardent Mills Respiratory Policy.

Preferred:

Machinist (machining) capability is an asset.
