Description

We are seeking a student centered School Therapist to lead a comprehensive, culturally responsive therapy and wellness program. You will provide individual and group therapy, crisis response, classroom wellness sessions, and collaborative support with families, Elders/Knowledge Keepers, and outside agencies to help students thrive academically, socially/emotionally, and in their life planning.
Duties (include but are not limited to):
Provide brief, school based individual and group therapy using trauma informed, strengths based approaches
Coordinate a comprehensive school therapy and mental wellness program
Deliver classroom wellness and psychoeducation sessions (K 8)
Lead or support crisis prevention and response, risk/safety planning, and re entry support following critical incidents.
Collaborate closely with administrators, teachers, EAs, Elders/Knowledge Keepers, parents/caregivers, and community partners (health, CFS, MLTC, etc.).
Support Individualized/Personalized Learning Plans and transitions.
Maintain confidential clinical records and report appropriately; uphold professional/ethical standards.
Coordinate referrals and follow up for specialized services
Promote attendance, behaviour, and wellness initiatives; lead small groups
Organize parent/caregiver workshops and staff PD on wellness topics; contribute to whole school wellness and land based programming.
Required Education, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:    
    Required:
o    Masters degree in counselling psychology, Social Work, or Clinical Psychology
o    Registration or eligibility for registration with a recognized professional regulatory body (e.g., Saskatchewan College of Psychologists, Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers, or CCPA for CCC designation).
