The City of Weyburn is a dynamic and progressive community located in the heart of southeast Saskatchewan. Lifeguards play a vital role in the Leisure Services Department in the summer by providing program information to the public, administering emergency procedures, and enforcing both aquatic safety rules and facility operating policies at the Weyburn Leisure Centre.

Responsibilities Lifeguard:
Supervise patrons to ensure safety and compliance with facility policies.
Respond to emergencies with first aid, water rescues, and complete required reports.
Maintain certifications, attend training, and use pool time for fitness.
Foster positive relationships with staff and public.
Work varied shifts, including weekends.
Assist with pool maintenance and program services as needed.
Report unsafe conditions and perform other assigned duties.
Additional Responsibilities Instructor:
Instruct the Lifesaving Societys Swim for Life swimming lessons in an organized and high-quality manner.
Prepare a lesson plan for each day of the lesson set you are instructing.
Qualifications for Lifeguard:
Students hired must be at least 15 years of age, enrolled as a student at a secondary or post-secondary school or institution; and
Standard First Aid/CPR-C/AED certification and NLS.
Qualifications for Instructor/Lifeguard:
Students hired must be at least 15 years of age, enrolled as a student at a secondary or post-secondary school or institution; and
Standard First Aid/CPR-C/AED certification, Swim for Life and NLS.
