GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:
Under the supervision and direction of the Managers and Director of Systemic Therapy and Outpatient Services, the Clinical Informatics Resource Nurse (CIRN) is a clinical operations and clinical informatics subject matter expert. This position integrates clinical nursing expertise with informatics skills to improve the quality of care, enhance the use of technology utilization, and optimize workflows.
The CIRN provides advanced clinical expertise in their area of focus of disease site specific knowledge, outpatient clinic operations and/or systemic therapy in the care of patients and their families. The CIRN uses advanced communication and leadership skills, advanced problem-solving techniques and the application of nursing and family theories to resolve both patient and program problems and concerns. The CIRN will be cognizant of patient care and safety issues and work with leadership and staff to resolve those issues.
The CIRN collaborates with IMS providing relevant nursing clinical knowledge and information related to the support, implementation, management and selection of Clinical Management Systems (CMS).
