Our Wahkohtowin Program is expanding it's staff team! We are looking for a Nurse Manager. Registered Psychiatric Nurses are preferred but Registered Nurses will be considered as well. The Nurse Manager should have strong leadership qualities and experience leading healthcare staff. They should have strong nursing assessment and clinical judgement skills. Knowledge and application of philosophies such as trauma-informed and culturally-informed care, harm reduction, recovery-oriented care/psychosocial rehabilitation, and person-centered care are required. Experience working in with people experiencing mental health problems, substance use problems, and homelessness is required. The Nurse Manager will be required to oversee nurses and other teams, alongside a Program Manager, in our Wahkohtowin Program as well as provide nursing oversight, health teaching, and recommendations for programs within Phoenix that do not have staff nurses. The Nurse Manager will also assist on overseeing nursing practice with staff nurses across the agency. The Nurse Manager will also work in collaboration with the Program Manager to run program operations and oversee a program budget.
Hours of work are Monday-Friday day shifts (7.5hrs/shift). After hours or weekend on call will be expected in this role. Class 5 Saskatchewan Driver's License and valid First Aid/CPR Certificate is required.
