Job Description: Under the direction of the Manager of the Provincial Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Program, the Nurse Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of care and ensuring continuity of care for the pediatric patient with hematology/oncology and related complex chronic health disorders. Assisting the patient and family to coordinate and access timely and appropriate care through the health care system as efficiently as possible is a key aspect of this position. The incumbent will develop and foster relationships with other health care providers including community partners and agencies to gain familiarity with and mobilize resources for the patient and family.
Experience
Preference for five (5) years of recent experience working in Oncology Nursing accompanied by experience in chemotherapy administration. Experience related to leadership, case management, care coordination, patient education, program development and evaluation.

- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
Licenses
- Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)
Other Education and Training
- Psychiatric Nursing diploma is acceptable
- Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing is acceptable

Knowledge and Abilities
- Knowledge in applicable regulatory bodies, policies and procedure
