The Ministry of Corrections, Policingand Public Safety (CPPS) is responsible for overseeing Saskatchewan's correctional system and facilities, providing the safe and secure custody of adult and youth offenders and delivering programs that promote safety and reduce re-offending.

The Opportunity

Regina Correctional Centre is hiring and invites you to join our Team! We are seeking a conscientious, reliable and diplomatic accounting clerk to work at the Regina Correctional Centre.  

Ideal Candidate

A thorough, organized and self-motivated individual is required to provide data entry, accounting and administrative support. Applying knowledge of relevant accounting principles. This position deals with Inmate Trust accounting and CJIMS (Criminal Justice Information Management System) entries on behalf of the inmates. Must be able to accurately reconcile accounts, issue cheques, handle petty cash and work with Microsoft Office.

Typically, the knowledge required to complete the requirements of this position is acquired through the completion of a 2-year post-secondary diploma in Business/Office Administration or Accounting supplemented by relevant job knowledge.
