Description

Overview:
As part of the Department of Community and Leisure Services, the City of Humboldt is currently seeking to fill a Permanent, Full-Time Building Maintenance Manager. Under the direction of the Director of Community and Leisure Services, the Building Maintenance Manager will ensure all City buildings perform as designed. This list of City buildings includes the Uniplex, City Hall, Museum, Gallery, Public Works Shop, Fire Hall, Library, and all other buildings as assigned. The successful applicant will manage all preventative and responsive maintenance activities including coordinating contractors and delegating tasks to staff. In addition, they will also be responsible for training, scheduling, supervising, and providing corrective actions to all maintenance staff members.

Qualifications
- Diploma in Building Maintenance or equivalent experience and achievements
- Previous supervisory experience
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License

Certification Required to possess within 6 months of hire:
- Pool Operation Certificate
- First Aid/CPR
- Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS)

Compensation & Hours of Work
- This is an out-of-scope position with a salary range of $74,255 - $90,258 (2025 rates).
- Employees are eligible for the employer matched defined pension plan, annual paid vacation days, and a comprehensive health and wellness plan.
- General work schedule is a 37.5-hour week, Monday to Friday. Applicants are required to attend to maintenance issues outside of regular work hours as necessary.
- A Criminal Record Check will be required as a condition of employment.
