They are responsible for assisting residents in implementing individual wellness plans and other duties and responsibilities as related to the operation of the program they work in.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Provide counselling and support in psychosocial rehabilitation & addictions recovery as required, including transporting residents to appointments and shopping trips etc.
-Ensure security of the program facility including monitoring of cameras.
-Provide assistance and follow through of recovery plans as part of residents routine, including assisting with apartment maintenance and cooking etc.
-Ensure records are completed such as shift information binder, contact notes, incident reports, etc.
-Assist in medication management.
-Willing and able to provide First Aid/CPR in medical emergencies as may be required.
Ideal candidates will have experience in successful and relevant work experience in the human services field; working with residents who have psychosocial, behavioral issues or unique backgrounds / special needs will be given preference. They will have good crisis de-escalation skills and a strong understanding of harm reduction and trauma-informed care. Must have a Saskatchewan Class 5 driver's license and valid First Aid/CPR certificate.
Shift work required, combination of days evenings, nights weekends There are 4 Part-time positions available; schedule is on a 2 week rotating basis. Applicants must be able to commit to weekend work as all shifts fall on weekends; 4 available positions range from 16-26 hours in a two-week period.
