Accounting Technician - Heavy Crude Hauling LP

Are you an organized and detail-oriented individual with a passion for numbers?  We are seeking an Accounting Technician to join our dynamic team and contribute to our financial excellence.
Heavy Crude Hauling, a subsidiary of the Mullen Group, is a fluid hauling and specialized services company.  We deliver reliable and professional services to our clients in the energy sector in Alberta and Saskatchewan.
Responsibilities
Supports and handles technical accounting duties including billing, invoicing and accounts payable.
Verify billing data, reconcile discrepancies and ensure the completeness and accuracy of supporting documentation.
Process and generate accurate customer invoices in accordance with company policies, customer requirements and established timelines.
Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Collaborate with other departments to address and resolve any identified accounting issues.
Assist with reconciliations and resolution of identified discrepancies.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the development of best practices.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in accounting procedures.
Experience with accounting in fluid hauling or oilfield services is valued, though not required.
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite, including experienced level in Excel utilizing formulas and pivot tables.
Exceptional attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with priorities and strict deadlines.
Capable of working independently and collaboratively with administration, operations and management teams.
Canadian citizenship required.
