Job Purpose
Under the direction of the Childcare Services Director, the ECE provides trustworthy child care for families and educates children by providing a nurturing and stimulating environment based on the multicultural philosophy of the Center. This position plays a crucial role in helping each child develop his/her potential: physically, emotionally, intellectually, socially, and creatively.
Education and Experience
-Orientation to Early Childhood Education (120 hour introductory course) and one year of experience as a day care worker, OR
-Equivalent of Orientation to Early Childhood Education, as determined by the provincial Child Day Care Branch and one year of experience as a day care worker.
Required Licenses and/or Certifications
-Criminal Occurrence Security Check Must complete a Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check in good standing and within three months prior to first day of employment.
-Early Childhood Educator Level 1 Certification.
-Certificate in Standard First Aid and CPR.
