Responsibilities
Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate the operations of the arts & training school.
Recruit, train, and supervise instructors and administrative staff.
Establish or implement school policies and procedures for staff.
Develop class schedules, workshops, and special programs to attract and retain students.
Provide professional suggestions on the design of the school curriculum.
Manage student admissions, registration, and class allocation.
Oversee marketing and promotional activities, including social media, community engagement, and partnerships; manage contracts, respectively, if applicable.
Monitor and evaluate teaching quality and student satisfaction.
Respond to inquiries or complaints and resolve problems accordingly.
Assist with preparing and managing budgets and financial reports.
Maintain relationships with artists, educators, and community partners to enhance the schools reputation.
Develop strategies for continuous improvement and program innovation.
Employment Requirements
Minimum education: completion of secondary school. Post-secondary education in fine arts, arts administration, business administration, or a related field is an asset.
Minimum 2 to 3 years of management experience, preferably in an art school or education institution.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Experience in budgeting, marketing, and staff supervision.
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines, must be self-directed to manage the operation of the art school with limited support.
Passion for the arts, art education, and training.
Proficiency in English; additional languages are an asset.
