Description

The Ministry of Social Services is dedicated to improving outcomes for individuals and families through income support, child and family services, disability supports, and affordable housing. The Information Technology Services Branch drives modernization and efficiency through enterprise-wide technology strategies and transformation initiatives.

We are seeking a visionary Executive Director, IT Services, to lead technology strategy, operations, and major transformation efforts aligned with government priorities. Reporting to the Assistant Deputy Minister of Finance and Corporate Services, this role provides leadership and direction to support sustainable program delivery.

The Executive Director will build a clientfocused, highperforming culture while overseeing planning, execution, and governance of technology initiatives. Responsibilities include setting strategic direction, ensuring secure and reliable IT operations, leading largescale transformation projects, supporting ministry-wide initiatives with strong governance and risk management, developing a highperforming team, advising senior leadership, managing vendor relationships, and maintaining quality assurance standards. The role also requires strong knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, policy development, and government decisionmaking.

The ideal candidate is a resilient, forwardthinking leader with senior IT leadership experience, strong governance and financial management skills, the ability to lead complex initiatives, excellent communication abilities, and a proven record of driving innovation and measurable results. A degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, along with experience in complex environments, is preferred.
