Description

McDougall Gauley has an exciting opportunity for a full time Corporate/Commercial Real Estate Assistant in our Regina office.  

You will be working closely with our lawyers and legal assistants to deliver quality legal services to our clients and will be involved in a wide variety of legal tasks including:
    Conducting, reviewing and reporting on title searches, off-title searches, and real estate related due diligence
    Assisting lawyers with commercial acquisition and sale transactions including preparation of requisitions and documentation
    Assisting lawyers with financing transactions (lender/borrower sides)
    Assisting lawyers with preparation of documents for developments and subdivisions
    Facilitating filing of documents and plans with ISC
    Preparing reporting letters related to transactions
    Assisting generally with all matters relating to the Firms commercial real estate practice, as well as with client development initiatives
    Attending to online filings with Corporate Registry
    Performing various administrative tasks including file organization, diarizations, billing, booking appointments, and other administrative duties as required.
    Drafting and editing emails, letters, maintaining digital and physical filings.

What you will bring:
    You have a minimum of 3 years of experience in corporate or commercial area of law
    You have established yourself as a key resource in your successful legal career and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    Your work history includes experience with commercial real estate and financing transactions
    You have a knowledge of legal and technical procedures, statutes, regulations, and applicable governmental practices
    You have strong organizational and interpersonal skills, are detail-oriented, able to effectively meet deadlines, work well in a team setting and provide an exceptional level of client service
        You have working knowledge of ISC-Land Registry, Corp. Registry.
