Description

We are seeking highly motivated Journeyperson Mechanics to join the Fleet Services Branch across the province. Successful candidates will maintain, repair, and modify trucks, highway construction and maintenance equipment, light vehicles, and other machinery used in highway operations.

Ideal candidates will hold a valid Journeyperson Certificate recognized in Saskatchewan in one of the following trades: Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic, Truck and Transport Mechanic, or Agricultural Machinery Technician. Fourth-year apprentices in these trades may also be considered. A valid Class 3A drivers license or ability to obtain one within the probationary period is required.

Candidates should demonstrate strong diagnostic and repair skills across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and computerized systems. Ability to perform preventative maintenance, fabricate or revise parts, and enter/retrieve data using computer systems is essential. Travel with possible overnight stays may be required.

Responsibilities include conducting inspections, diagnosing issues, repairing and maintaining equipment, and developing or modifying systems as assigned.
