We are seeking dynamic individuals committed to improving the lives and well-being of children and families to join our team as Child Protection Assistant Supervisors. In this role, you will supervise, manage, and implement programs that provide protective, preventative, and support services to children, parents, and foster families using the Family Centred Case Management and P.R.I.D.E. Models of Practice.
The ideal candidate will work effectively with colleagues and caregivers, demonstrate leadership through respect and empowerment, and coach and mentor staff. You will have knowledge of child abuse, neglect, and domestic violence indicators; expertise in policy and practice; and understanding of multicultural beliefs and values, particularly First Nations and Metis. Experience with social work theories and supervising professional staff is essential.
To qualify, you must hold a Bachelor of Social Work or Bachelor of Indigenous Social Work from an accredited university approved by SASW/CASW or CASWE, and have several years of experience in Child Protection/Childrens Services and staff supervision. Candidates must clearly demonstrate how they meet these requirements in their application.
