SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Operates equipment to remove sand, litter and trash.
Operates equipment to remove snow from streets, parking lots and other areas.
Operates sewer maintenance equipment to maintain and repair sewer systems.
Operates trucks equipped with apparatuses for spreading sand, salt or abrasives on roadways.
Performs general equipment operation and maintenance.
Maintains vehicle and equipment maintenance logs.
Performs other duties as required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Grade 12 education or equivalent GED;
Certificate in WHMIS required, First Aid preferred.
Certificate in Traffic Control considered an asset. Possession and maintenance of a valid Saskatchewan Class 5 license required; must obtain a valid Class 3A license within the first six months of employment.
Hand signal training required.
Experience
No previous municipal experience required.
Minimum of 16 total hours operating one of the following: excavator, grader, compactor, loader or skid steer required.
