Under the general supervision of the Director of Human Resources & Corporate Services, the Human Resources Coordinator plays a key role in supporting and coordinating a broad range of functions across Human Resources, Safety and Payroll. This position is integral to the day-to-day operations of the department and contributes to the delivery of strategic Human Resources and organizational initiatives. This position offers practical, hands-on experience in core Human Resources practices, while also contributing to projects that enhance employee engagement, compliance and workplace safety. The Human Resources Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating recruitment activities, onboarding processes, training logistics, employee record management, safety documentation, and internal communications. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, professional judgment, and a high level of discretion when handling confidential information. This role requires the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while upholding the City of Weyburns commitment to professionalism, inclusivity, and service excellence.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION
Diploma in Business Administration or related field.
EXPERIENCE
3-5 years' experience in Human Resources processes.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
Experience in a unionized environment, considered an asset.
Excellent knowledge of employment legislation and regulations. Thorough knowledge of human resource management principles and best practices.
