Under the direct supervision of the Pre-Vocational Team Leader or Executive Director, The successful applicant will assist in the delivery of recovery oriented services to individuals with mental health and addictions by:
Assisting with the management of the daily drop-in center;
Assisting in the development and maintenance of the program and services, in collaboration with senior staff;
Assisting in the implementation of individual's personal recovery framework for self management, skills and knowledge development;
Assist in the provision and development of community integration.
Qualifications required:
Completion of Post-Secondary Training in Social Sciences and/or Humanities or a certificate/diploma in Addictions in conjunction with appropriate experience;
Demonstrated strong working knowledge of working with people with mental health concerns/addictions;
Demonstrated ability to communicate and relate effectively with persons with mental health and addictions;
Demonstrated ability to perform written and oral communications with usage and knowledge of computers and software packages such as Microsoft Office 365;
A good knowledge of community resources, programs, effective organizational, public relations and communications skills are essential;
Demonstrated ability to follow program directions;
Valid Driver's license.
Must be eligible to work in Canada.
