The Infrastructure and Operations Branch of the Ministry of SaskBuilds and Procurement requires a well organized, highly motivated individual with excellent interpersonal skills capable of working in a high paced, dynamic multi-tasking environment to perform the role of Hardware Procurement/Asset Coordinator.
The Hardware Procurement/Asset Coordinator role includes researching products and obtaining quotes and products from vendors, managing the decision making and approval process for purchase orders, and coordinating product delivery and installation for all hardware purchases for the Government of Saskatchewan (GOS). As part of this service, this position is responsible for researching pricing, features, and availability of each product, maintaining the lease portfolio and ensuring compliance with all purchasing acts, policies and procedures.
The successful candidate must be willing and able to work independently and as part of a cohesive team to provide procurement and asset services to 13,000 clients within the GOS. You must also have strong communication skills to provide clear and concise information to clients and staff.
You will have knowledge of current IT technologies and computer hardware in order to understand client needs and effectively communicate with vendors and clients. Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, databases, e-mail, and financial software applications, such as ServiceNow and Oracle Financials is also required in order to enter, retrieve and format information. You must also have knowledge of purchasing and leasing procedures and principles.
