- Performs minor electrical, plumbing and carpentry maintenance and repair duties such as changing fuses, troubleshooting thermostats, snaking drains and replacing hardware, repairing/replacing receptacles, ballasts, switches, fans, taps, toilets, sinks , repairing/ replacing water lines, routine repairs to appliances, equipment and HVAC systems
- Performs work that requires adherence to safety procedures/practices when dealing with hazards
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English. Issue Purchase orders to Contractors/Supplier
- Will be required to be on-call for one week every fifth/sixth week to respond to emergency repairs as well as calls requiring emergency services (police, fire)
- Ability to maintain good communications, tact, diplomacy and effective relations with staff, tenants, contractors, and suppliers
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must provide own hand tools
- Excellent organizational. time management skills and ability to multitask.
