Wallace Construction has operated locally for 45 years as a family run business, with employees who have been by our side for 15 years+. We are a leader in Southwest Saskatchewan, specializing in a wide variety of commercial, agricultural and residential projects, and are currently looking to fill an immediate opening for an experienced Drywaller/Taper.

DUTIES
    Apply, level and smooth coats of plaster  
    Attach metal or gypsum lath to studs or furring  
    Clean and prepare surfaces
    Decorative designs in finish coat
    Cut and install metal corner beads  
    Cut openings in laths for piping, ducts and electrical outlets
    Erect scaffolding  
    Fabricate grids for acoustical and coffered ceilings  
    Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks  
    Finish corners and angles  
    Install exterior and interior steel studs  
    Install metal stud framing and furring  
    Install vapour barriers and thermal and sound insulation  
    Measure, cut and fit and install drywall sheets  
    Mix plaster ingredients to desired consistency  
    Install ornamental fixtures  
    Sand seams and joints  
    Spray acoustic or texture materials over walls and ceilings  
    Tape over joints with tape and compound  
    Utilize laser alignment system  
    Miscellaneous framing ability
    Painting abilities
  
  
MUST HAVE:
- Minimum 3-5 years in general carpentry, construction or related industry
- hands-on experience in construction, skilled trades
- Sound knowledge of general construction codes & regulations
- Positive & upbeat attitude
- Attention to safety
- Work well in team environment and/or on your own
- Experience in Residential and Commercial construction
