Responsibilities
Support corporate acquirers and vendors in assessing mergers and acquisitions (M&A) opportunities by analyzing deal rationale and key value drivers and risks
Develop project plans and coordinate logistics with clients and stakeholders
Conduct detailed analyses including quality of earnings, EBITDA sustainability, working capital profiles, and other risk/opportunity areas
Build and prepare technical analyses, projections, forecasts, and financial models
Review client financial statements as part of M&A process
Identify industry-specific trends, competitive factors, and key performance indicators at both macro and micro levels
Research and summarize market conditions to provide broad insights and conclusions
Prepare high-quality deliverables such as confidential information memorandums, engagement letters, reports, presentations, and client correspondence
Identify innovative ways to add value to client engagements and support relationship development
Participate in business development activities, including proposal preparation and presentation
Correspond with various stakeholders on an M&A process including prospective buyers, lawyers, advisors, and clients
Collaborate effectively with internal engagement teams
Maintain flexibility to travel as necessary
Skills and Experience
CPA Designation
25 years of experience in public practice or a relevant field is considered an asset
Mergers and acquisition, transaction advisory or due diligence experience is considered an asset
Strong technical accounting skills and solid knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Proven ability to analyze and interpret financial statements
