YWCA Prince Alberts Our House Supportive Recovery Centre delivers three programs supporting women in crisis, individuals experiencing ongoing mental health and addiction challenges, and those seeking safe housing before or after in-patient substance use treatment. The Our House Intensive Program (OHIP) provides 24-hour on-site staffing and single-room residence for up to 6 individuals living with mental health disorders.
Qualifications:
Practical Nursing Diploma
Licensed with the Saskatchewan Association of Licensed Practical Nurses;
Work effectively as a team as well as individually;
Model a pro-active approach; flexibility, tolerance, perseverance;
Competence in counselling, assessment, and crisis management situations;
Excellent written and verbal skills
Valid Class 5 Saskatchewan Driver's Licence;
Understanding and awareness of First Nations Culture
Must pass Criminal Record, Vulnerable Sector Check;
Duties:
Provide recovery oriented services;
Assist with Life skills, medication management, transportation, social, leisure, and recreational activities
Skilled in Crisis intervention;
Assure appropriate proper documentation is completed - Incident Reports, Stats, Contact Notes, etc;
Participate in Staff Training, Staff meetings, planning meetings as required;
Keep up to date on relevant research and literature in the supportive recovery field.
Knowledge of Mental Health First aid and able to attend to Mental Health Crisis
