Description

STR8 UP is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Full-Time Bookkeeper to join our non-profit organization. The Bookkeeper will manage the financial records, maintain accurate accounts, and assist with reporting to ensure financial transparency and compliance. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and experience in the non-profit sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage Financial Records: Maintain and update financial records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices, donations, and payments. Monitor accounts payable and receivable and ensure timely processing.
Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and ensure consistency with financial records.
Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management, the board of directors, and external stakeholders as needed.
Budget Assistance: Assist in the preparation of budgets and track budget performance throughout the fiscal year.
Payroll: Support payroll processing, including tracking employee hours and ensuring accurate wage distribution.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and accounting standards for non-profit organizations.
Record Keeping: Maintain proper documentation for all financial transactions, including receipts, invoices, and bank statements.
Audit Preparation: Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.
Other Duties: Assist with any additional financial tasks as required by the Executive Director or Finance Manager.
